Intravenous, in total between 100 milligrams antazoline and 300 milligrams antazoline, over the duration of 3 to 10 minutes.

Detailed description

Administer intravenously under strict control of blood pressure and heart rate (ECG), at a dose of 100 mg to 300 mg in 3-10 minutes. Injections should be stopped once obtained return of sinus rhythm.

Higher doses should be used in the intensive care unit.

Antazoline is an antagonist of histamine H1 receptors. It selectively bind to but does not activate histamine H1 receptors, thereby blocking the actions of endogenous histamine, which subsequently leads to temporary relief of the negative symptoms brought on by histamine.
