Therapeutic indications

Anidulafungin is indicated for:

Invasive candidiasis

Population group: only infants (40 days - 1 year old) , children (1 year - 12 years old) , adolescents (12 years - 18 years old) , adults (18 years old or older)

Treatment of invasive candidiasis in adults and paediatric patients aged 1 month to <18 years.

For this indication, competent medicine agencies globally authorize below treatments (click for details):

200 mg loading dose once on Day 1, followed by 100 mg daily thereafter for at least 14 days after the last positive culture

3.0 mg/kg single loading dose on Day 1, followed by 1.5 mg/kg daily thereafter for at least 14 days after the last positive culture

Contraindications

Anidulafungin is contraindicated in the following cases:

Lactation

Hypersensitivity to other medicinal products of the echinocandin class

at least one of

Rezafungin
Micafungin
Caspofungin
