Atazanavir

Therapeutic indications

Atazanavir is indicated for:

HIV-1 infection

Population group: both men and women, only adults (18 - 65 years old)

Atazanavir, co-administered with low dose ritonavir, is indicated for the treatment of HIV-1 infected adults and paediatric patients 6 years of age and older in combination with other antiretroviral medicinal products.

For this indication, competent medicine agencies globally authorize below treatments (click for details):

Treatment 1: Oral - 300 mg once with ritonavir 100 mg daily

HIV-1 infection

Population group: both men and women, only children (1 year - 12 years old) , adolescents (12 years - 18 years old)

Atazanavir, co-administered with low dose ritonavir, is indicated for the treatment of HIV-1 infected adults and paediatric patients 6 years of age and older in combination with other antiretroviral medicinal products.

Treatment 1: Oral - 200-300 mg once with ritonavir 100 mg daily

Contraindications

Atazanavir is contraindicated in the following cases:

Glecaprevir, pibrentasvir
