Barnidipine
Therapeutic Indications
Barnidipine is indicated for:
Mild to moderate essential hypertension
Irrespective of gender only Adults (18 years old or older)

Treatment 1: Oral - 10-20 mg once daily
Contraindications
Active ingredient Barnidipine is contraindicated in the following cases:
Untreated heart failure
No gender/age discrimination
Hepatic impairment
No gender/age discrimination
Strong CYP3A4 inhibitors
No gender/age discrimination
Blood levels of barnidipine may be increased when used in combination with strong CYP3A4 inhibitors (results in vitro interaction studies). Therefore, antiproteases, ketoconazole, itraconazole, erythromycin and clarithromycin should not be used concomitantly.
Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <10 ml/min)

Unstable angina pectoris, acute myocardial infarction
No gender/age discrimination
Unstable angina pectoris and acute myocardial infarction (in the first 4 weeks).
