Desirudin is indicated for:

Prevention of deep venous thrombosis in elective hip or knee replacement surgery

Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

Contraindications

Desirudin is contraindicated in the following cases:

Subacute bacterial endocarditis

Subacute bacterial endocarditis

Pregnancy

Severe renal impairment

Severe hepatic impairment
