Therapeutic indications

Flurbiprofen is indicated for:

Inhibition of intraoperative miosis, post-operative trabeculoplasty inflammation in the anterior segment of the eye

Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

Flurbiprofen is indicated for:

  • the inhibition of intraoperative miosis. Flurbiprofen does not have intrinsic mydriatic properties and does not replace mydriatic agents.
  • the management of post-operative and post-laser trabeculoplasty inflammation in the anterior segment of the eye in patients in whom steroid therapy is not recommended.

For the treatment of rheumatoid disease, osteoarthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, musculoskeletal disorders and trauma such as periarthritis, frozen shoulder, bursitis, tendinitis, tenosynovitis, low back pain, sprains and strains.

Flurbiprofen is also indicated for its analgesic effect in the relief of mild to moderate pain in conditions such as dental pain, post-operative pain, dysmenorrhoea and migraine.

Flurbiprofen is contraindicated in the following cases:

History of hypersensitivity reactions to NSAIDs

Non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug allergy

Severe heart failure, severe hepatic failure, severe renal failure

Renal failure stage 5: Kidney failure (GFR <15 mL/min/1.73 m2 or dialysis)
