Therapeutic indications

Naratriptan is indicated for:

Migraine attacks with or without aura

Population group: only adults (18 - 65 years old)

Naratriptan is contraindicated in the following cases:

Myocardial infarction, ischaemic heart disease, Prinzmetal's angina, coronary vasospasm, peripheral vascular disease

Cerebrovascular accident (CVA), transient ischaemic attack (TIA)

Hypertension

Ergotamine, derivatives of ergotamine, selective serotonin (5-HT₁) agonists

Severely impaired renal function (creatinine clearance <15 ml/min)

Renal failure stage 5: Kidney failure (GFR <15 mL/min/1.73 m2 or dialysis)

Severely impaired hepatic function (Child-Pugh grade C)

Hepatic failure stage IV
