Phenobarbital is indicated for:

Epilepsy

Population group: only children (1 year - 12 years old) , adolescents (12 years - 18 years old)

Phenobarbital is contraindicated in the following cases:

Hypersensitivity to phenobarbital

Phenobarbitone allergy

Severe respiratory depression

Decreased respiratory function

Acute intermittent porphyria

Acute intermittent porphyria

Severe impairment of hepatic function

Hepatic failure stage IV

Severe impairment of renal function
