Therapeutic indications

Treprostinil is indicated for:

Chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH)

Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

Treprostinil is indicated for the treatment of adult patients with WHO Functional Class (FC) III or IV and:

  • inoperable chronic thromboembolic pulmonary hypertension (CTEPH), or
  • persistent or recurrent CTEPH after surgical treatment

to improve exercise capacity.

Contraindications

Treprostinil is contraindicated in the following cases:

Prostanoids

Cerebrovascular events

H/O: CVA
History of transient ischemic attack
