Ciplox 250 mg Film-coated Tablets.

Pharmaceutical Form

Film-coated Tablet.

White or yellowish, 11 mm circular, biconvex, film-coated tablets. Scored on both sides and side-wall scored, marked ‘C250’ on one side.

The tablet can be divided into equal halves.

Qualitative and quantitative composition

Each film-coated tablet contains 250 mg of ciprofloxacin (as hydrochloride).

Active Ingredient Description
Ciprofloxacin

Ciprofloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibacterial agent. The bactericidal action of ciprofloxacin results from the inhibition of both type II topoisomerase (DNA-gyrase) and topoisomerase IV, required for bacterial DNA replication, transcription, repair and recombination.

Pack sizes and marketing

Blister strips of 20 micrometre Aluminium and 250 micrometre PVC in a cardboard outer container. Packs size: 6, 7, 10, 14, 20, 28, 30, 56, 60, 84, 90, 100, 120, 150 tablets.

Not all pack sizes may be marketed.
