CYPSEDO (cipepofol injectable emulsion) is an anesthetic available as a sterile, white or off-white emulsion for intravenous administration. The active ingredient, cipepofol, is chemically described as 2-[(1R)-1-cyclopropylethyl]-6-isopropyl-phenol. Its structural formula is:

Cipepofol is practically insoluble in water. The log octanol/water partition coefficient is 4.36.
Each mL of CYPSEDO (cipepofol injectable emulsion) contains cipepofol 2.5 mg and the following inactive ingredients: edetate disodium anhydrous 0.05 mg (equivalent to edetate disodium 0.055 mg), egg phospholipids 12 mg, glycerin 22.5 mg, medium-chain triglycerides 50 mg, sodium oleate 0.3 mg, soybean oil 50 mg, and water for injection, with sodium hydroxide to adjust pH. CYPSEDO is isotonic and has a pH of 6.0 to 9.0. Egg phospholipids are derived from eggs, and soybean oil is derived from soybeans.
