Each Medocycline capsule contains 250mg of tetracycline hydrochloride.

Tetracyclines are taken up into sensitive bacterial cells by an active transport process. Once within the cell they bind reversibly to the 30S subunit of the ribosome, preventing the binding of aminoacyl transfer RNA and inhibiting protein synthesis and hence cell growth. |

The capsules also contain pregelatinised starch and magnesium stearate. The capsule shells contain gelatin, titanium dioxide (E171), indigo carmine (E132), erythrosine (E127) and tartrazine (E102). |
Medocycline capsules are packed in PVC/Alu blisters.
Packs of 100 capsules are available.
