Redipred oral solution 5 mg/mL.

Pharmaceutical Form

Redipred is a preserved, raspberry flavoured, clear, colourless to slightly yellow aqueous solution.

Qualitative and quantitative composition

Redipred contains 6.72 mg/mL of the active ingredient, prednisolone sodium phosphate (equivalent to prednisolone 5 mg/mL).

Active Ingredient Description
Prednisolone

Prednisolone is a glucocorticoid which has anti-inflammatory activity. Naturally occurring glucocorticoids (hydrocortisone and cortisone), which also have salt-retaining properties, are used as replacement therapy in adrenocortical deficiency states. Their synthetic analogs are primarily used for their potent anti-inflammatory effects in disorders of many organ systems.

List of Excipients

Sorbitol solution (70 per cent)(non-crystallising), disodium edetate, dibasic sodium phosphate, monobasic sodium phosphate, methyl hydroxybenzoate, propyl hydroxybenzoate, nature identical raspberry flavour 08-3326 (PI 892) and purified water.

30 mL & 100 mL PET bottles.
