Therapeutic indications

Irbesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide is indicated for:

Essential hypertension

Population group: only adults (18 years old or older)

This fixed dose combination is indicated in adult patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled on irbesartan or hydrochlorothiazide alone.

Contraindications

Irbesartan and Hydrochlorothiazide is contraindicated in the following cases:

Pregnancy

Pregnancy

Severe renal impairment (creatinine clearance <30 ml/min)

at least one of

Renal failure stage 5: Kidney failure (GFR <15 mL/min/1.73 m2 or dialysis)

Severe hepatic impairment, biliary cirrhosis, cholestasis

at least one of
Hepatic failure stage IV
Biliary cirrhosis
Cholestasis

Refractory hypokalaemia, hypercalcaemia

at least one of
Hypokalemia
Hypercalcemia
