Lopinavir and Ritonavir

Therapeutic indications

Lopinavir and Ritonavir is indicated for:

Human immunodeficiency virus infection

Population group: only minors (0 - 18 years old) , adults (18 - 65 years old)

Lopinavir/ritonavir fixed-dose combination is indicated in combination with other antiretroviral medicinal products for the treatment of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) infected adults, adolescents and children aged from 14 days and older.

The choice of lopinavir/ritonavir to treat protease inhibitor experienced HIV-1 infected patients should be based on individual viral resistance testing and treatment history of patients.

Contraindications

Lopinavir and Ritonavir is contraindicated in the following cases:

Severe hepatic insufficiency

Hepatic failure stage IV

Elbasvir/grazoprevir

Elbasvir and grazoprevir

Ombitasvir/paritaprevir/ritonavir with or without dasabuvir

at least one of
Ombitasvir, paritaprevir and ritonavir
Dasabuvir, ombitasvir, paritaprevir and ritonavir

Colchicine with renal and/or hepatic impairment

Colchicine and additionally at least one of
Renal failure
Hepatic insufficiency

Astemizole, terfenadine

at least one of
Astemizole
Terfenadine

Fusidic acid in dermatological indications

Fusidic acid and additionally Dermatosis

St John's wort

Hypericum perforatum (St John's Wort)
